UC Berkeley Accessible Paths and Places Master Plan

The Accessible Paths and Places Master Plan embraces both universal design and human-centered design approaches in addressing ADA compliance across the UC Berkeley Campus. The objective of the plan is to create a comprehensive network of accessible pedestrian pathways and spaces, designing beyond compliance to maximize benefits for all campus users. The plan examines accessibility on the campus wide scale as well as through a framework of distinct projects. The Accessible Paths and Places Master Plan serves as a continuation of the principles and goals of several planning studies - including the 2022 UC Berkeley ADA Transition Plan and the 2022 Campus Master Plan - to integrate with university plans for infrastructure network and facilities improvement.
