The Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Disability Accessibility & Planning (‘CACDAP’) invites you to attend a Town Hall on our Campus Disability Strategic Plan. Chancellor Carol Christ tasked CACDAP with developing a Campus Disability Strategic Plan. The current draft reflects several iterations of the plan and extensive input from CACDAP membership, faculty, students, staff and particularly those from the disability community.

We are currently looking to have stickers and potentially pins made for the DAC office to give to interested parties. Cal Performances invites blind or visually impaired UC Berkeley students to attend the April 2, 2024 performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and to take part in audio description services and a pre-show haptic tour. We are happy to provide free tickets for up to 5 students (+ 1 guest) to the April 2 performance. In return, we would love to hear your feedback on these services.

The Digital Accessibility Program (DAP) is excited to announce our continuing accessibility workshop series! Sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m.  through March. Each virtual session will begin with 15-minute presentations on the topics listed below, followed by office hours with our accessibility specialists. Bring your accessibility questions!

On October 17, 2023, DAC and HAAS hosted a panel discussion "504 to 2024: UC Berkeley & the History and Future of Disability Advocacy Here and Abroad" on opportunities for graduate students at Berkeley to work on UN related civil society building focused on disability.

The sessions are great for beginners, are FREE of cost, and require NO sign ups. Rec Sports are starting with Wheelchair Basketball on Friday, March 3rd from 1:00pm - 3:00pm in the Kleeberger Field House within the Recreational Sport Facility.

All are welcome to join in community building and advocacy! Come to the "Know Your Rights" Disability Town Hall, presented by the ASUC Disabled Students Commission and Berkeley Disabled Students. DAC will be providing an overview of the UC Berkeley grievance process, and students will be able to share their experiences navigating UCB.
