Wayfinding at UC Berkeley

This section is an information hub to help community members with disabilities navigate the campus. It includes maps of buildings, parking locations, transportation routes, policies & procedures, and additional resources.

The maps here are designed to assist individuals with disabilities navigate and/or plan ahead during their time around campus.

This section also features information for every university-affiliated building, including entrances, emergency preparedness, classroom information, departments, restrooms, and building location.

Additionally, this section provides external links to campus resources related to disability access.

Maps

Features all campus maps related to disability. Campus access maps are designed to assist individuals with disabilities navigate and/or plan ahead during their time around campus.

Services are provided for students with disabilities in the classroom.

Classrooms

In the description of each room you can find information about the accessibility features of the room including accessibility for students, accessibility for instructors, and lighting conditions.

Parking

Finding parking at UC Berkeley can be very challenging.  Planning in advance is the key to getting a well-located spot that meets your needs - one designated for accessible parking (a blue spot) or the nearest available parking spot that is not restricted for use.

The Loop is a golf cart that provides intra-campus rides for eligible faculty, staff, and students with disabilities on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bear Transit Shuttles

UC Berkeley Parking & Transportation offers several wheelchair-accessible shuttle routes free of charge to Campus community members.

Pathway Slopes

With slopes marked as ranging from “Easy” to “Impassible,” this map helps individuals with disabilities find the most accessible route to a destination. It should be used in conjunction with the preferred wheelchair routes map.

Key Card Access

Should the need arise for you to access a building or a particular entrance to a building due to an accessibility need and your Cal 1 card does not allow you that access, please contact DAC to request a consultation.
