Annoucement from the UC Berkeley Digital Accessibility Program:

The Digital Accessibility Program (DAP) is excited to announce our continuing accessibility workshop series! Sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m.  through March. Each virtual session will begin with 15-minute presentations on the topics listed below, followed by office hours with our accessibility specialists. Bring your accessibility questions!

This Friday, 10/20, RecWell will be hosting Adaptive Pickleball from 1:00pm - 3:00pm in the Kleeberger Field House within the Recreational Sport Facility. The sessions are FREE, great for beginners, and requires NO advance registration to participate.

Rec Sports is hosting Inclusive, Adaptive Sports Clinics for the spring semester! This sampler will feature different adaptive sports at each event. The sessions are great for beginners, are FREE of cost, and require NO sign ups. Rec Sports are starting with Wheelchair Basketball on Friday, March 3rd from 1:00pm - 3:00pm in the Kleeberger Field House within the Recreational Sport Facility.

UPDATED: Starting February 9th, 2023 Steve Johnston will have in-person drop-in sessions once a month at the Disability Cultural Community Center (DCC) on campus. Please review the handy guide for detailed information.

A confidential Self-Identification Questionnaire is now available for faculty, staff, and students with disabilities who believe that they may need assistance during an emergency evacuation. The Office of Graduate Diversity recently hosted a UC Berkeley Diversity Academy "Neurodiversity Workshop" on October 28, 2021. Check out their video to learn more about graduate school for neurodiverse individuals!

An accessible house is for sale that would be wonderful for someone who uses a wheelchair! The house was previously occupied by a woman in a wheelchair, who had a husband who was an engineer. They have made the home very comfortable and accommodating. The house is located at 1782 Capistrano in Berkeley. Please share the post with anyone who might be interested.
